About Seminole Precast Manufacturing, Inc.

Seminole Precast Manufacturing Family RunBest Precast Concrete, Highest Company Values

At Seminole Precast Manufacturing, Inc. (SPMI), we believe the quality of our products matches the integrity of our leadership. We built our company on the principles of trust, quality and performance, and those same values continue to drive us today.

Our business philosophy places a high emphasis on working closely with you, our customer. As a result, we “partner” with contractors to provide the best quality product and service available. That includes our dedication to remaining a high volume, low cost producer. We understand our success as a company is linked to your success as a contractor or subcontractor, and we keep that in mind during every contract we fill.

A History of Success - Rock Solid Leadership and Principles

As a family owned and operated company, we grew out of the economic downturn of the late 1980s. Pat, Martin and Curtis Neiswander began SPMI with the slogan “What do you need?” From the very beginning, our company was founded with the needs of our customers coming first. If it was made of concrete, we would find a way to offer a better solution.

That work ethic and flexibility eventually led to company growth. After our first contracts, which included making fence panels for central and south Florida, we began to expand our catalog of products and services. With years of experience in highway and raceway barrier products and service, that area of our business began to grow. Many special precast concrete products followed, such as animal drinkers for Disney’s Animal Kingdom, concrete benches, light pole foundations, three large crosses for the marquee of a church and many other unique products.

Our product line again grew in the early 1990s when we began casting retaining earth wall products for highway construction for the Florida Department of Transportation and The Orlando Expressway Authority. With this growth in business, we expanded to a site in Lakeland, Florida to produce retaining wall panels for the Polk County Expressway Authority bypass constructed in the Lakeland area. We outgrew the port facilities and in 1998 moved to our present thirty-acre site in DeBary, Florida, increasing the variety of products and services provided to the state of Florida with this expansion.

We continued to expand with construction of the Macon, Georgia plant in 2008. At the Macon site, we produced and provided 20 miles of JJ hook barrier for the reconstruction of I-75 in the Tifton, Georgia area. Our Macon plant is now equipped to produce the full product line of the company, including precast earth wall panels and sanitary and drainage structures. The Macon plant is certified to produce Department of Transportation products for the states of Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

SPMI Today

Today we continue to stand by those principles of trust and integrity our company was founded on. Now second and third generation family members are involved.

Our current management structure allows us to leverage the collective experience and special talents of each of our managers and staff to maximize the success of our plants and facilities. This approach has allowed better control and training in our rapidly growing business. Our growth in talent during these economically slow times has allowed us to prepare additional field operations rapidly to meet the demands of future roadway and railway projects.
